2011 USCF All-America Team member Robert Hess coming to Menphis

GM Robert Hess will be in Memphis for the

2011 Mid-South Chess Camp, June 5 - 10.

The USCF All-America Team is a prestigious award that started in 1988 and is given to the top players in the United States. This is a great achievement for these talented young chess players, one that can only be attained through hard work and a fierce dedication to chess.

Homegrown Memphian wins second IM norm.

Congratulations to Jake Kleiman!

Jake is one of only seven in the United States listed on the FIDE website with an Title norms for International Master.




The Philadelphia Open saw Memphis’ FM Jake Kleiman earn his second IM norm. Listen to Jake:




Jake will be one of five instructors at the Mid-South Chess Camp (GM Alex Stripunsky, GM Josh Friedel, WIM Alisa Melekhina, FM Jake Kleiman, and Eve Litvak as they prepare to welcome U.S. Champion GM Hikaru Nakamura on June 13-18 to the premier chess camp in the country!
