OK folks, to catch you up on some of the vague post lately. There have been many comments that I have received but have held in a holding queue where all comments are held until they are reviewed, approved and then released for posting. I am addressing two of these posts now which are issued by the same poster. So, if you don't understand all of the following information, do not worry, this anonymous poster will.

Also, I ask you to forgive me for having to address the stupidity of foolish people that are either ignorant of blogging etiquette and/or are just plain dumb and don't care about others as long as they can be bossy, rude, arrogant, obnoxious, controlling, misinformed, lacking in truth, and just downright hateful. Someone who thinks they can go on and on and on for years and not ever be addressed about their actions under the very false sense of security of posting "Anonymous".

Wrong, dumb dumb, you are oh so typically wrong again.

1) DO NOT USE REAL NAMES OF PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT KNOWN TO BE PUBLIC FIGURES WHILE YOU ARE A GUEST COMMENTER!

Blog Admin response: Don't know as I wasn't the poster of the comment you are referring to. But, I could guess you were one of them, along with others on the board with you.

Blog Admin response: Don't know as I wasn't the poster of the comment you are referring to. But, I can say that I have heard of, and been told of several situations by different people over the years.

Annonymous: I believe this was a 'made up' comment. Come on XXX REAL NAME XXX. Let's play fair. These aren't real comments, ARE THEY.

Blog Admin response: You can believe whatever you wish. We both know you do just that, regardless of any further investigation, facts or proof. It's another classic example of your insecurity and obnoxious behavior. Yes they were real comments, submitted just as yours were.

Annonymous: And what did you say about me anyway? I would love to know. Or do I have to ask XXXXX MCC MEMBERS REAL NAME XXXXXX?

Blog Admin response: I guess you will have to ask the MCC member whose name you so very blatantly put in your posted comments, and be sure to tell him he owes me a thank you for protecting his NAME.

Annonymous: Be very careful what you say, my dear. Just remember that I know who you work for and why. Don't give me this 'I'm here for the kids' crap. Face it, you are doing this for XXX REAL NAME XXX and his XXX REAL NAME XXX. Once they're done with you they will throw you out like before. By the way, the MCC did nothing to lose the University spot. Someone, and we know who dont we, engineered that little thing.

Blog Admin response: I am always careful; I have to be with the likes of your hateful, mean group present. Make up your mind, will you! Here you say you know who I work for, but, near the end of your comment you tell me to get a real job. Which is it, oh yea? I forgot you're not much for truth, facts, and honesty. About the kids, I sure am not here for the likes of you or any of your group that for years discouraged many children from playing at your club. The next part isn't worth addressing as you don't have your facts correct, again. As far as the MCC doing nothing to lose the University spot, are you referring to the first or second time, because you are so misinformed again as usual, as both times the University had due cause to tell the MCC to remove their activities from their premises. Do you attend the MCC Board meetings? As a sitting member of the board you certainly should know the true facts. So, if you have been missing your Board meetings, maybe you should ask the other Board members for the truth. In the case that you have been attending your Board meetings, then what is this all about? Or is lying just one of your fun things to do? And, no I do not know "who", as your own members have openly stated that it was due to noncompliance issues with the U of M's rules.

Memphis Chess Club - Woe is me!

It has recently come to my attention that the "Memphis Chess Club" which formerly met at the University of Memphis, has been asked to move to another location due to something about not having club insurance and such. Certain members of the club are running rampant with their allegations as to why this has occured now after they admittedly have been meeting at the Fedex Technology building for a very long time out of compliance with the U of Memphis regulations. Another allegation recently flung about, was how former people from "years ago" with the club were causing the recent events to happen.

1) If they have known that they were out of compliance, then you are guilty of your own misconduct.

2) If former people from "years ago" are accused of being involved, then why wouldn't they have taken action "years ago"?



It is obvious that certain club members feel that they can sling about any such made up stories or allegations and everyone on the planet is suppose to believe it with no further proof or investigation. Well, as usual, let the big mouth(s), know nothing(s) - think they know it all, continue to show just how truly ignorant that they may be, a continued example of how they roll as in "years ago"!

My final advice, is to suck it up, man up, admit the truth - you were out of compliance, you were wrong, stop trying to blame others, and just move on!

Mid-South Chess Offers Schools dynamic chess program.

We couldn't have said it any better....At Mid South Chess, we love the royal game for many reasons. One of those reasons is that it offers so much to children and young people. During the past few years, we have provided top-level instruction to schools in the Memphis, TN area including Lausanne Collegiate School, SBEC, Pleasant Hill, Downtown Elementary, and Grace St. Lukes.

Although difficult to play well, chess is relatively straightforward to learn. Most first or second graders can follow the basic rules. Sometimes kids even as young as four or five can play. One can learn to play at any age, and unlike many other sports, one never has to give up chess because of age. Young and old can play together, age is not a factor. Nor is gender of importance in playing chess. Boys and girls can play together, competing amongst and against each other in a friendly social environment. Chess enhances social skills as you interact with others who share their love for the game.

The game also challenges perseverance and sportsmanship as you play ina competitive environment. Chess is a universal language and most tournaments welcome players of all abilities. To the serious tournament player, it provides numerous opportunities to travel around the country, and even around the world. As social as the game is, chess also teaches independence: it forces you to make important decisions influenced only by your own judgment, and to accept the consequences of your actions.

Other than being all of the above, chess also helps develop the mind, especially the mind of young people. Many studies have proven conclusively that playing chess improves school results substantially. In close to 30 countries, chess is now required as part of the school curriculum.

Evidently, chess, as the gymnasium of the mind keeps the mind sharp. It forces you to think critically. Among other things, it develops the memory, as students learn different variations and recognize patterns on the board. Chess develops logical thinking and critical judgment.

During the game, players must formulate a plan of attack and defense. In order to do so, a player must perform a systematic checking of possible combinations of moves and then arrive at an evaluation of each possibility. This process of learning to play according to a certain strategic plan, requires a great deal of concentration. On the board, chess teaches the rewards of concentration, while it also provides immediate penalties for any lapses in concentration. Few teaching tools provide such immediate feedback.

Yet, chess is not just a game of established patterns and strict algorithms. Although the development of a game tends to follow general principles, there is rarely a unique best way to play any given position. The game rewards creativity, and helps develop one's imagination, encouraging us to test the boundaries of our own mind.
