Note: Regular Sections (K-2, K-6, K-12) are USCF Rated and each player must be a USCF member (see membership rates below). The RESERVE sections are non-USCF Rated and do not require membership.

TEAM INFO:
Team competition will be played simultaneously with individual competition. Teams consist of a minimum of 3 players and may have as many players as they wish, but only the top 3 scores will count toward the final team score. Team members must be from the same school, and home-schooled team members must be from the same home school district; all team members must register in the same USCF-rated section. There is no elimination. . . everyone will play all 5 rounds!
PRIZES:
Trophies will be awarded to the top 5 winners in each individual section (in both rated & non-rated sections) and to the top 3 teams in each team section; medals to all non-trophy winners.
ENTRY FEE:
Entry fee is $15 per player if received by Wed., Sept. 30th; $20 thereafter and at site.
ROUND TIMES:
The first round will start at 10 a.m. and other rounds will immediately follow.
BYES (1/2-point):
Available for any Round. Limit one bye per player. Must commit before Round 3.

ON-SITE-REGISTRATION:
You may register on-site between 9 –9:30 a.m. the day of the tournament. The first round will start at 10 a.m.
USCF MEMBERSHIP:
If you need to purchase a USCF membership, you may do so on site. One-year memberships in the U.S. Chess Federation for rated tournament play are as follows:
Premium Young Adult Membership (24 years of age and under) -- $32 (includes 12 mailed issues of "Chess Life" magazine).
Regular Young Adult Membership (24 years of age and under -- $24 (includes ON-LINE ACCESS to 12 issues of "Chess Life" magazine).
Premium Youth Membership (15 years of age and under -- $27 (includes 6 mailed issues of "Chess Life" magazine).
Regular Youth Membership (15 years of age and under -- $20 (includes ON LINE ACCESS to 12 issues of "Chess Life" magazine).
Premium Scholastic Membership (12 years of age and under) -- $23 (includes 6 mailed issues of the magazine "Chess Life for Kids" magazine).
Regluar Scholastic Membership (12 years of age and under -- $16 (includes ON LINE ACCESS to "Chess Life for Kids" magazine).
MISCELLANEOUS:
Please bring boards, sets & clocks, if possible--none will be provided - Chess Vendor (Cajun Chess) will be on site.
